The new CodeScout™ AX2500 Advanced Code Reader – from AutoXray®, – provides access to the trouble codes that trigger check engine lights. With CodeScout 2500, users can access the same information car dealers use on ’83 and newer Domestic (OBD-I) and ’96 and newer import vehicles (OBD-II).
Designed as the next generation of the EZ-Read 2000, CodeScout quickly identifies the problem by plugging the cable into the automotive diagnostic port, usually located under the steering column.
CodeScout 2500 performs multiple OBD-I and OBD-II tasks. Under OBD-I, the new unit reads and displays both DTCs – with text descriptions – and Memory DTCs. When supported by the vehicle, CodeScout 2500 erases DTCs and resets the EMR lamp.
